Unplugging to Recharge: The Power of Taking a Break and Slowing Down

 Take a break 😴!

Hello, Passioners! I hope you're all having a great weekend because I am πŸ˜„!

Today we're cruising, we're relaxing. Life keeps on reminding us that we should take each day as it comes. Around this period, three years ago, we learned the harsh way that we should not take ANYTHING for granted. This is why today I'm reminding you to take that break you've promised yourself.

I am currently studying for my Masters and as I am realising that I'm about to enter the "real" adult world, I think I haven't relaxed enough. I like partying and such but there's something special about relaxing and slowing down. Studying is stressful enough and I don't want to spend my time stressing about my studies πŸ˜… or doing not meaningful activities.

One of my favourite activities is travelling, which goes well with photography. I often talk with my friends, and we make plans that we end up never doing πŸ™ˆ. I started then reflecting on those stagnant plans and it tilted: I can actually go by myself and finally take that trip to that magnificent castle in Germany or again go admire the Pink Lake in Senegal. We give ourselves excuses such as financial circumstances, being busy or not having a travel buddy. But without noticing, we're always postponing what could be the best experiences of our lives.

When I talk about relaxing and taking a break, it's subjective. Some people may not be able to take the plane for various reasons but we all have that one activity we enjoy doing and that helps us clear our minds from our different issues, If you enjoy photography you can start doing so even in your bedroom, remember that your imagination has no boundaries. You can watch a movie on Netflix, listen to music, go to an art gallery, cook or... you can do just nothing. There's plenty to choose from.

I hope maybe you'll consider that break because you deserve it.

See you πŸ’ͺ!
