Ways to find hope in the everyday: a photographic journey
Hello, Passioners (yes, I found a cute nickname for our community 😋)! I would first like to apologise as I failed to post on Sunday as agreed and promise to try my best to not let it happen again. Thank you for your understanding.
From the previous post, you know that this one is a way to prepare us to go return to reality; however, because it's already Wednesday, this post aims to push us not to give up for we're halfway there. In my artistic journey, I have come to understand that beauty and hope lie where less expected. As I started appreciating the world around me, I came to find that I should always look up. Sometimes, the most beautiful part of a building is the ceiling, and I am not the one to write an essay on how beautiful the sky is.
Being quite an optimistic person, I like surrounding myself with positive energy and that is what looking up came to mean to me. I look up to forget about the downs in my life. I look up because I know it'll get better. I look up not to look down and get swallowed by sorrow and sadness. Keeping my focus down is stopping myself from looking around and contemplating other perspectives and find hope.I have seen quite impressive ceilings and they have given me a sense of stability. That structure is what protects the building from severe weather and, in a sense, keeps us safe inside. When it comes to the sky, each one of us has a special meaning for it. We look up to the sky when we are happy something finally worked out; we look up to it when we are dearly missing someone, and we look up to the sky to sometimes just admire its beauty.
Let's not be absorbed by the world and its hardships; let's not restrain ourselves into a mental box but look up and admire. And you know, they say "the sky is the limit." Oooh, cheesy 🙆!
See you 👋
